Brian has been practicing architecture in Birmingham since 1993 upon graduating from Mississippi State University. Brian, his wife Krys, and their four children Miriam, Jack, Evie, and Ames live in Brookwood Forest and are members of Red Mountain Church. He serves on the Villages Design Review Committee for the City of Mountain Brook and coaches middle school and high school kids on the Mountain Brook mountain biking team. Brian loves bold coffee, spending time at Oak Mountain and prefers vinyl over digital music.
Adam has been practicing architecture in Birmingham since 2008. He graduated from Auburn University with both a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Interior Architecture. Adam & his wife Heather live in the Southampton neighborhood of Ross Bridge with their daughters Caroline, Mattie and son Taylor. Adam likes long walks on the beach at Hilton Head Island, and eating popsicles.
Lauren has been practicing architecture in Birmingham since 1974, and first started his own office as P. Lauren Barrett Architects in 1980. A Georgia Tech graduate, he and his wife Debbie are members at Mountain Brook Community Church and live in Liberty Park, where they enjoy cooking out on the grill. Lauren prefers ACC basketball over SEC football most anytime.
Lee was awarded a Bachelor of Architecture in his sleepy hometown of Starkville, Mississippi. There he was taught important life lessons such as Led Zeppelin rocks and pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza. A son of a small town, he can be regularly spotted making good use of all Birmingham has to offer in the way of craft breweries, music venues and street tacos. Bravely, in our dog-loving world, Lee openly admits he is more of a cat-person.
Lauren joined Barrett Architecture Studio after her time as an Interior Designer on Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A and later in Roswell, GA. She earned her BS in Interior Design from The University of Alabama. Returning to her home state of Alabama, Lauren is excited to embrace everything that Birmingham has to offer, including sushi, hiking with her dog, and a shortened commute to Alabama football games.
Adam is a Birmingham native of the Oak Mountain area who happily earned his Bachelor of Architecture at Auburn University in 2015. After spending some formative yet freezing years up in Chicago, he has returned home to put down roots and continue his career in his favorite community. Adam enjoys kayaking his local spots, elevating his cooking skills towards eventual masterchef status, and is the self-proclaimed best whistler you’ll ever meet. Future goals include a basset hound and a likely try at improv comedy.
Jasmine joined Barrett Architecture Studio after earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University. Hailing from the small town of Columbus, MS, Jasmine is excited to explore Birmingham as it grows every day with new projects and developments. Besides designing at a firm that does such diverse work in the area, she is most excited to take advantage of the many local eateries, new grocery stores, and hopefully join the dog owning community some time soon.
Jacquelin joined Barrett Architecture Studio after earning her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University. Originally from Madison, MS, she developed an early appreciation for design, spending summers at her family’s small design business. Jacquelin is excited to start a new chapter in her life in Birmingham, AL, where she can pursue her love for the outdoors, either enjoying walks on trails around Birmingham, or discovering new spots for hiking and camping throughout the southeast.
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University in 2019 and has been practicing in Birmingham, Alabama ever since. Growing up in a military family, she spent her childhood in places like Japan and Iceland before settling in Gulfport, Mississippi. Drawn to Birmingham’s vibrant food scene and abundant outdoor spaces, she’s proud to call the city home. Outside the office, Danielle enjoys gardening, trying new recipes, and planning future travels.
Abbie Davis is an interior designer and proud Auburn University graduate with a passion for creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring. She enjoys collaborating with clients to bring their vision to life through thoughtful design. Outside of work, Abbie loves traveling, discovering new places, and spending quality time with friends and family.
